AOD: Anime Overdose/Animation On Display 2014 was a 2-day pop culture convention focusing on anime, video games and cartoons held at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport in Burlingame, California!

Starting the event with new Day 0 swap meet, the event proved to be a jam-packed with events such as: Inside Voice Acting with Melissa Hutchison, The Dubbing Process with Michael Sinterniklaas with Michael Sinterniklaas, Localizing a legend: How SEGA brought Hatsune Miku to the West with Aaron Webber & Sam Mullen, a Q&A with Cristina Vee, a game-music only set by Hideo, concerts with Slime Girls & Space Boyfriend and much more!

Some of the issues with the new location is that the panel rooms were split between 2 hall ways with main events being in a completely separate tent. The posted schedules didn't indicate what was going on in farther event rooms or indicate schedule changes.

Some attendees found it difficult to find local food. I managed to find salvation with Day & Night All American Grill, located just across the street. Good food, but orders tend to take longer than expected. There isn't much more beyond that and the hotel restaurants.

This year's masquerade costume contest event ended with a great set of dances by Angel Hearts!

Many more videos to come, including the awesome Gamer Gauntled Semi-Finals on Street Fighter: The Movie game and Team Hideo's performance of the Blaster Master theme!

AOD 2014 remained solid throughout the 2 days of the event, taking a crowd that filled its former location to capacity and only utilizing about 1/3rd of its new location, it's safe to say that there's definitely room to grow.

Overall, I rate AOD 2014 as 8 out of 10.
